Vrieseas are native to Central and South America. They belong to the Bromeliad family and are found growing wild in tropical rain forests.
They make exceptional ornamental house plants, with distintive rosette-like flower heads usually yellow, bright red or deep red, which only add to their amazing appearance.
The flowers can last for months and the breathtaking leaf colours makes this plant a strong focal point even when it is not in bloom.
