How to take care of Bonsai Serissa 20 cm

Your Bonsai Serissa Broom 20 cm pot needs a place indoors close to the window in a sunny spot, but avoid direct sunlight in summer to prevent wilting of the leaves. The Bonsai likes good ventilation, but not cold air. Do not place the Bonsai above a heat source. Weekly watering of the roots and sprinkling of the leaves is necessary. If the surface of the soil looks dry, submerge the pot in water (to just above the rim of the pot) until the air bubbles no longer emerge. Remove the pot from the water and drain. Do this once a week when the soil feels dry. Feed once every 2 weeks from spring to late summer with a Fertilizer. Prune Bonsai Serissa Broom 20 cm pot regularly with sharp scissors. As new shoots emerge, you can warp some shoots with wire and remove the others, this will encourage the growth of dense twigs and neat foliage. Root moderate pruning, repotting is best done every two years in early spring, then the roots will heal quickly. Use compost that is freely permeable but retains moisture and then do not feed for several weeks. NOTE: in autumn the tree tends to lose some of its foliage, don't worry; the tree is not dead, new leaves will appear soon.
