How to take care of Aster novi belgii Crimson brocade
It will tolerate sun or shade and even poor soils, provided there is adequate moisture. Avoid dry gardens. Divide clumps in late autumn or early spring every two years. Propagation is easily done in early spring and sometimes suffer from Powdery mildew. It is unsightly more than harmful, though if left unchecked, will eventually weaken the plants. Spray at first sign of the mildew. Beware in the spring, there will be inevitable slug damage to leaves.
