How to take care of Dianthus Sweet William Wee Willie

To start your annuals off indoors , use a tray or seed pots with small holes in the bottom and seed compost.Sow large seeds by hand, small seeds should be mixed with fine, dry sand so that you can see where you have sown them. Cover coarse seeds with sieved compost. Small fine seeds will not need to be covered. Water the seeds with a plant sprayer. Place the tray in a warm, light spot and check daily that the compost is neither too moist nor too dry.Once the seedlings emerge the strongest, biggest ones should be planted out 5cm apart in a bigger tray to harden off, move the tray outside during the day and bring it back indoors at night for a week, before planting them out in the position they are to remain, in a pot, or in garden soil. Seedings should not be planted out until all risk of frost has passed.
