Nymphaea's are hardy and can be left in ponds during the winter where the water does not freeze, they are also easily stored for the winter in colder areas. Water lilies do not like moving water.

How to take care of Nymphaea White

Place a layer of dark soil or clay stones at the bottom of the planter and add some soil. Plant the plants in this mixture, the Butomis (any way up) and Pontederia plants at the back of the planter and the Water lily (Nymphaea) in the centre towards the front. Then gently press in the fertiliser tablets, not too close to the plants. Fill the planter with the soil, take care that the plants are well fixed in the soil (gently press them a bit firmer in the soil mix.). Place the white stones on top. Fill the planter with water; let it flow into the planter very carefully, not to wash away the soil. Leave the planter filled up for 3/4 and place it at its final location (sunny -half shade). Let it fill with rainwater. If you get a problem with Algae growing into the mini pond, apply some household white vinegar (maybe 1/4 of a cup) and the Algae will disappear. IMPORTANT. The stones are lime based & therefore harmful to fish do not place any of these stones in your fish pond.
