How to take care of Hydrangea macrophylla perfection 12 cm p

Remove the Hydrangea macrophylla perfection from the pot and untangle the root ball slightly, so that the roots can grow outwards and not remain in the shape of the growing pot. This will allow it to absorb water better in drought conditions. Soaking the root ball in a bucket of water for 10-12 hours before planting will give the plant a head start. Once you have decided where you want to plant the plant, dig a hole deep enough so that the entire root ball of the Hydrangea macrophylla perfection remains just below the surface of the earth. Mix the soil in the hole with some potting compost so that water is retained but excess water can drain away.Place the plant in the hole with the roots apart and replenish the soil. Water well and then press firmly. After 4 weeks, add a handful of organic fertiliser on top of the soil around the Hydrangea macrophylla perfection. The Hydrangea macrophylla perfection flowers on "old wood", so it is best not to prune it back. Until, of course, the plant gets too big and you want to prune it into shape. Then prune it in the autumn, for example by cutting back half the branches one year and the other half the branches the next year.
