Trimming your hedge

Use the smaller shears to trim such Hedges as topiary as they are easier to cut and sculpture into your desired shape. Shape the Hedge so that it's wider at the bottom so the sunlight will reach all the leaves. For long Hedges such as berberis it is better to invest in an electrical trimmer but be careful not to damage the cable. Place it over your shoulder as you work.
