Ilex altaclerensis Golden King

Holly, Ilex Golden King, has pretty dark green, yellow edged, leaves. It blooms with white flowers and reddish brown berries during autumn-winter.

This evergreen shrub is pretty and provides colour in winter when it's most welcome. It’s great for adding texture to flower arrangements.

It is one of the most popular symbols of Christmas! Do not let the name deceive you. 'Golden King' is actually the female plant, with red berries, if pollinated by a male holly closeby.

Prune out by removing diseased, damaged, crowded shoots and any that are growing in unwanted directions.
