Divide clumps in autumn every 3-4 years of so. You can improve heavy soil by mixing in some builders sand. Place Allium Mount Everest bulbs with the 'nose' upward into the soil. Always water well after planting to stimulate growth. For best results, as the buds materialize, add a high potash liquid feed in early spring to fertilize.
