Andromeda are long-lived evergreen shrubs related to the rhododendrons found growing in marshy conditions across North America. This is a low maintenance dwarf shrub is tolerant of urban pollution. It resembles the herb Rosemary hence its common name Bog Rosemary but is not edible and will cause stomach upset if indigested.
Andromeda does not need to be pruned every year except for the removal of parts that have become dead, diseased or damaged.
