Buddleja is a fantastic low maintenance shrub originally from China; it is suitable for growing in large patio containers, borders or as part of a semi evergreen hedge. It blooms in late summer with long plumes of nectar-rich, fragrant flowers at the end of arching stems.
Butterflies and bees find it irresistible. It's important to prune Buddlejas’ hard in spring and to remove faded flowers in summer, as this will encourage a second flush of flowers.

How to take care of Buddleja davidii Blue
Soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting; water well after planting and for the next few weeks. It prefers well-drained chalky soil and a full sun position. Requires hard pruning every March. Cut back last year’s growth within two inches of the old wood. If left un-pruned it can reach a height of 8ft (2.5mt).
