Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg needs a sunny sheltered position to thrive in. In colder areas, plant Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg near a south-facing wall. Protect Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg from cold winds. Use a well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Remove faded flower heads as they fade to prolong flowering. If Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg is planted in pots, plant in spring. There will be little growth in the first year. Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg do well in various soil types. Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg likes to be constantly moist, but not wet. Feed twice a month during the growing season and prune as necessary to control plant size. Container-grown Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg plants should be brought indoors in extreme winter conditions. Check Schwarzer Holunder Haschberg plants periodically for pests such as aphids, white flies, and mealy bugs. Use a horticultural oil or insecticidal soap to control these pests.
