Pickwick Vernus Crocuses x 20
Pickwick Vernus Crocuses x 20
Pickwick Vernus Crocuses bring a welcome touch of early spring colour, with striking violet-white striping and a warm orange centre that stands out beautifully in the garden.
Location
Outdoors, choose a spot with as much sun as possible. These crocuses are especially effective at the front of borders and in rockeries, and they also naturalise well through grass for a natural spring display.
Contents
This set contains 20 crocus bulbs, ready for planting to create a generous drift of spring colour.
Plant care
Prepare the planting area by loosening the soil and incorporating organic fertiliser granules. In very dry spells, water as shoots start to appear. Indoors, keep the compost consistently moist while bringing them into growth and flowering.
Pruning and maintenance
Deadheading isn’t needed. Allow the flowers and foliage to fade back naturally, helping the bulbs build strength for the following season.
Winter hardiness
These bulbs tolerate winter cold down to –25°C.

Instructions
Plant outdoors in a sunny spot, ideally at the front of borders, in rockeries, or naturalised in grass. Loosen the soil well and work in some organic fertiliser granules. Plant the bulbs about 6–8 cm deep. In very dry weather, water when shoots begin to emerge. Leave faded flowers to die back naturally.
For indoor planting, plant the bulbs on arrival and water thoroughly. Leave them to drain for a few hours, then place them in a dark room for 10 weeks. Keep them away from fruit. Once shoots are well established, move them to a sunny place at room temperature and keep the compost moist.
