Clematis viticella 'Madame Julia Correvon' is prized for it's red wine flowers with yellow stamens, it blooms profusely mid summer into autumn. They can be easily trained to cover walls, trellises or arches, only needs to have its roots shaded. This variety shows good resistance to clematis wilt. This variety belongs to the Viticella Group, Prune Group 3, it blooms in late summer/autumn so you can prune it hard in early spring.
