Coreopsis rosea American Dream is noted as the only coreopsis with pink flowers. Plants form spreading clumps of very delicate, ferny foliage and the starry soft-pink appear singly on short stalks daisies, creating a swathe of pink haze all summer long. A great herbaceous perennial for filling any gaps, planting in drifts or for edging in a sunny border. Works well in hanging baskets, mixed containers and as a groundcover.

How to take care of Coreopsis rosea American Dream

Plant in drifts through the border. Easily grown in medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Avoid poorly-drained heavy clay soils. They have very little drought tolerance and need consistently moist soils in order to thrive. Removing faded flowers will encourage new growth which will extend the blooming period and prevent any unwanted self-seeding. Cut the shoots down to ground level in autumn. Can be an aggressive spreader. Dividing every 2 to 3 years in the spring or autumn is advisable. No serious insect or disease problems. Crown rot may occur if grown in moist, poorly drained soils.
