Anemone nemorosa is a dwarf herbaceous early-spring flowering perennial. Prodcues pretty drifts of solitary flowers with 7 white petals, sometimes flushed pink on reverse. It’s an obvious choice for naturalising in woodland areas, dappled shade gardens or around deciduous trees and shrubs. They are slow to colonise, so the more you plant at the same time, the better the impact will be for many years.

How to take care of Anemone nemorosa alba 9cm

Plant Anemone nemorosa alba 9cm in any well-drained garden soil. Avoid wet, poorly-drained soils, particularly in winter. Combine the topsoil with a mixture of compost, sand and loam for best results. Best planted in partial shade location just below the soil level. Flowering stems tend to flop in too much shade. Anemone nemorosa alba 9cm prefers sheltered locations with protection from wind. Foliage tends to burn in hot, dry, sunny summer conditions. Soils must not be allowed to dry out. Once established apply a light fertiliser during the growth period (March - August). Anemone nemorosa alba 9cm are slow to establish and hardiness can be a problem in harsh winters. Plants may not survive wet overwintering conditions unless good drainage is provided. Mulch them lightly in early winter for added protection. The clumps can be divided in spring if necessary but Anemone nemorosa alba 9cm do not like to be disturbed.
