Also known as Wintergreen or Checkberry, this dwarf evergreen, ground covering shrub provides year round appeal. They will be smothered in pretty pinkish white, bell shaped flowers in late spring followed by attractive deep red winter berries. Young foliage is copper coloured turning first dark green and then reddish in autumn. Basket not included.

How to take care of Gaultheria Procumbens
Perfect as an indoor plant and hardy enough to be planted outdoors. If planted in your garden as an evergreen ground cover, you need to choose a location with partial shade, in acidic soil with good drainage. If you do not have acid soil, add peat at the time of planting. This plant dislikes chalky soil. Fully hardy and divide in autumn/winter if necessary. It will also not not tolerate drought, heat and humidity. Rate of Growth is average. It flowers in late spring with pinkish white flowers.
