Dame Blanche mock orange is compact deciduous shrub with masses of brilliant whie blooms which appear from late spring to early summer. The bridal white flowers are set off by the dark green oval leaves. This low maintainence shrub is perfect for planting in the middle sunny border or mixed border where its wonderfully sweet, orange blossom fragrance can be fully appreciated. Also suitable for poor soils and can be quite tolerant of urban pollution

How to take care of Philadelphus Dame Blanche

For best results soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting and water well after planting and for the next few weeks. Plant upon receipt for best results. Position your Philadelphus in full sun any well-drained fertile soil. Young stems should be cut back to a strong bud each year after flowering. On older plants, remove roughly a quarter of the oldest branches each year to encourage new growth. To propagate, take softwood cuttings in summer or hardwood cuttings in autumn or winter.
