Aprimira is a new sel-fertile hybrid, mirabelle – apricot, it produces juicy fruits with orange-yellow flesh with a firm texture. Its fruits can be harvested in late summer and can be picked fresh from the tree over an extended period. The flavour is especially sweet and the stone is loose so it falls away easily from the flesh. Supplied as standard specimen and makes a very decorative and productive plant for the patio. Suitable for patio containers or small gardens.

How to take care of Standard Plum Tree Prunus Aprimira

1. If you plant the tree in a pot take a large pot of at least 25 cm diam. Cover the outlet hole with a pot shard so that water can drain off at all times. Use a mixture of 1/3 sand with 1/3 compost and 1/3 potting soil. Plant so deep that the old root ball disappears just below the surface of the soil. Loosen the old root ball well before planting so that the roots can be spread well. 2. Place the pot in a sunny spot on your terrace or in your garden and water regularly. Fertilise in early spring with cow manure pellets on top of the pot and then in May give Korrelest NPK 12-10-18 and once in July. 3. During the winter, you can put the pot and tree away cool in a shed or in a sheltered place against a wall. Then cover the pot with an old jute bag or the like against frost damage to the pot 4. Prune if necessary in February to maintain shape. Remember the flower buds are already visible. You may want to prune around them to preserve flowering and fruiting. Prune plums and other stone fruits such as apricot and peach etc., only after -during flowering otherwise there is a risk of disease.
