Buddleja is a fantastic low maintenance shrub originally from China; it is suitable for growing in large patio containers, borders or as part of a semi evergreen hedge. It blooms in late summer with long plumes of nectar-rich, fragrant flowers at the end of arching stems. The flowers of Buddleja Lochinch are a blue/purple colour.
Butterflies and bees find it irresistible. It's important to prune Buddlejas’ hard in spring and to remove faded flowers in summer, as this will encourage a second flush of flowers.

How to take care of Buddleja Lochinch 9 cm pot
Soak the roots for approx 2 hrs before planting; water well after planting and for the next few weeks. It prefers well-drained chalky soil and a full sun position. Requires hard pruning every March. Cut back last year’s growth within two inches of the old wood. If left un-pruned it can reach a height of 8ft (2.5mt).
