How to take care of Arum Italicum

Plant Arum Italicum at least 2cm (approx 1in) deeper than they were in their delivered pots. Arums can pull themselves down to the right level but planting deeper will help them to establish more quickly. Humus-rich soil will promote new growth. Water thoroughly after planting to moisten the top of the soil. Mulch around the plants in autumn and summer. Mulch retains moisture and provides some soil nutrients. Division of clumps of tubers should take place after flowering. Alternatively, propagate by seed sown in autumn having removed the fleshy pulp. No pruning required.
